  • Students, from now on you are responsible for checking your Tardy passes to see when you are scheduled to serve your detention. A phone call home will be made prior to your scheduled date as a reminder. Detentions are served Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:45 to 3:15 in Ms. Luna's room B120. If you are late, you will not be allowed in and will need to show up to the next detention day.




  • Class of 2020 Senior Contract Night will be October 16, from 5-7 p.m. This will take place in the gym.  Remember you must bring your parent; they will also be signing the contract.  Herff Jones will also be there if you would like to order your cap n gown and any other items you might like.


  • Loma Linda University  is having an event on November 10, 2019, 1-6pm for students interested in the health field. Come learn about the schools of Allied Health and Public Health! Experience hands-on activities and participate in speed mentoring with Loma Linda University Students.  Come to the counseling office for the link to sign up and reserve your FREE spot!


  • ATTENTION SENIORS - Financial aid experts will be hosting workshops to assist families with completing their application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and CA Dream Act Application for eligible AB 540 students (CADAA). This will take place here at San Bernardino High School in the Career Center M-2 on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM.


  • Attention sophomores and juniors who have registered to take the PSAT! Next week Wednesday October 16th is the big day. Please check with your English teachers to find your room assignments, on that day you will report directly to that room at 7:30am. Thank you Mrs. Williams.


    Students, San Bernardino Valley College will be offering college classes on our campus. For next semester, they will be offering Art Appreciation and Early Childhood Development. Classes will be afterschool, two days a week. Minimum of 2.0 GPA is required. If you are interested in earning both high school and college credit at the same time, please go see your counselor or Ms. Knicks in the career center for more information. Registration day will be in the career center on Thursday, October 17th, all day.


  • Attention all boys interested in playing for the 2019-2020 boys basketball teams. Try-outs will be held this Friday October 11, at 3pm after school, and on Saturday October 12 at 8am, inside the gym. For more information, please see Coach Foote in B-116 or Coach DP in W-8.


  • Hey Cardinals, It’s October and a Busy time here at Cardinal City. Every Friday is PINK OUT FRIDAY for the month of October. Wear your favorite PINK to support Breast Cancer awareness.


  • It’s Float time for Homecoming! Are you helping your class build your float? Well you should if you have any school spirit! Contact your class advisors to find out when and where to help with your class float! All classes have picked their themes now they just need you to help create it.  Freshman- see Mr. Burg, Sophomores- see Mr. Soto, Juniors- see Mrs. Kim, And Seniors- see Mrs. Bunn


  • HOMECOMING IS OCTOBER 25TH.  HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT OF YOURSELF AS A Queen? Maybe a Prince? Well we will be crowning a Prince and a Princess from each class. The Seniors will crown a King And Queen!  Make sure you come to the Homecoming table at lunch and nominate your friends, yourself or someone you think deserves a little royalty in their lives! Tuesday October 15th is the last day for nominations. They only need to be nominated once to get their name on the Ballot. Wednesday October 16th will be the vote for the Top 4 in each class. All Homecoming Finalists will receive a half-price ticket to The Homecoming Dance on Saturday October 26th!  The top 4 girls finalists will ride in the Homecoming Parade and be crowned during halftime of the football game. The top 4 Boys will be crowned at our Homecoming Dance Saturday Night.  Class expectations and 2.0 GPA do apply to all nominees.


  • You spoke up and the ASB listened…Students have been asking for a traditional Homecoming celebration so here you go…. It’s time to dress up, ask that certain someone to go with you to Homecoming!  Plan to attend the Mysterious Masquerade ball on Saturday October 26th at Shandin Hills Golf Club here in San Bernardino. Dinner, dancing, magician and more all included in your ticket price.  Permission slips are available in Mrs. Kim’s room M9 or at the bookkeeper’s office. Yes, you can bring a visitor from another school as long as you have a visitors pass, also available in M9 .


  • Want to win free tickets???? Then you need to do the BEST HOCO PROPOSAL EVER! Yes we are having a Homecoming proposal contest. Make sure an ASB member or your friends video your proposal . The BEST PROPOSAL WINS! Even if he or she says no, make it good! Send videos to an ASB member so we can vote for the best one! Contest starts NOW and all videos must be to Mrs. Kim no later than the end of the day October 22. We will announce the winners on Wednesday October 23. Get creative but don’t break any school rules or you will be disqualified. See Mrs. Kim with any questions….


  • Halloween is creeping up and ASB and Cardinal City Clubs  will be hosting a FREE lunchtime Halloween carnival and costume contest on Halloween Day. Start making plans  for your costume now….


  • Do you like to play Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart or FIFA? If so, grab a friend and come to U-7 after school to play some video games and board games. Gaming tournaments coming soon.


  • Do you like to play sports? If so, grab a friend and come to U-5 after school to see what exciting sports we will be playing.
