·        Must be first-generation college student (defined as a student of Hispanic descent who 



·        comes from a family where their parents did not attend a four-year college in the United States)

Be enrolled full-time or part-time (minimum 6 semester hours) undergraduate or graduate student attending a two-year or four-year HACU-member institution

·        Open to all majors

·        2.5 GPA or above

·        Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident of the United States

·        500 word essay: What is your personal motivation for applying to the Coca-Cola scholarship as a first-generation college student.

Kia will be accepting applications for an amazing scholarship program called "The Great Unknowns." 

The program targets high school seniors (at least 16 years of age) who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-or four- year college or university in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year and reside in the Unites States. 

It focuses on students who plan on pushing a degree in one of the following fields: 
- Sciences - Biology, Chemistry, Pre-Medicine, Physics, Applied Sciences, 
- Material Sciences
-Technology - Aeronautics, Automotive Sciences, Computer Sciences, Mechanical Sciences, Technical/Vocational Majors (involving machines, computers, technologies)
- Engineering - All engineering fields, such as Applied, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, etc.
- Arts - Design, Graphics, Architecture, Fashion, Fine Arts, Studio Arts, Motion Pictures/Television
- Entertainment Arts )(other design-driven arts will be considered)
-Math-Math, Applied Math, Statistics


American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) is a nationwide non-profit organization. Their mission is to provide direct input into the deliberations and developments of energy policies, regulations, emerging technologies, and environmental issues. We also offer scholarships to graduating high school students who plan to attend a university.

For 2020, AABE California Chapter is offering (5) $1,000 scholarship to high school seniors who meet the criteria. There are additional opportunities for the selected high school students to earn (1) $3,000 scholarship at the Western Region level and (1) $5,000 scholarship at National level.
