Scholarships


Kia will be accepting applications for an amazing scholarship program called "The Great Unknowns." 

The program targets high school seniors (at least 16 years of age) who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-or four- year college or university in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year and reside in the Unites States. 

It focuses on students who plan on pushing a degree in one of the following fields: 
- Sciences - Biology, Chemistry, Pre-Medicine, Physics, Applied Sciences, 
- Material Sciences
-Technology - Aeronautics, Automotive Sciences, Computer Sciences, Mechanical Sciences, Technical/Vocational Majors (involving machines, computers, technologies)
- Engineering - All engineering fields, such as Applied, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, etc.
- Arts - Design, Graphics, Architecture, Fashion, Fine Arts, Studio Arts, Motion Pictures/Television
- Entertainment Arts )(other design-driven arts will be considered)
-Math-Math, Applied Math, Statistics


KIA SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION 





The BASBC Foundation was established in 2014 in order to help local young women in San Bernardino County reach their educational goals. All funds are raised through various fundraisers throughout the year. Scholarships awarded to qualifying applicants range from $500 to $1,500. We would love to make an application for this scholarship available to your students.

 

 All applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be currently attending a San Bernardino County high school and planning to attend a college or university during the fall semester / 2020 academic year.
  • Must be in good academic standing with current educational institution. Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA for current high school
  • Complete the online application process by the deadline of April 30, 2020, No Exceptions
  • All recipients will be notified by May 10, 2020.

Elevation Education Scholarship Program 


Ellevation has established a scholarship program to assist students who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs.   


ELLEVATION WEBSITE


Applicants of the Ellevation Education Scholarship Program must:

High school seniors who have been enrolled as an English Language Learner (ELL) at some point during their K-12 education. Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year

Award Information:

If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $2,000 award.

Up to five (5) awards will be granted.

Awards are one time only. Past recipients may not apply. 

Awards are for undergraduate study only.



Selection of Recipients

Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, a statement of educational and career goals and aspirations, and a signed recommendation letter from your ELL administrator or teacher on school district letterhead indicating dates of ELL program attendance.

Financial need is not considered.

Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America. In no instance does any officer or employee of Ellevation play a part in the selection. All applicants agree to accept the decision as final.

Notification 

Applicants will be notified in May. Not all applicants to the program will be selected as recipients.

Payment of Scholarships 

Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Ellevation. Payment is made in one installment in early August.

American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE) is a nationwide non-profit organization. Their mission is to provide direct input into the deliberations and developments of energy policies, regulations, emerging technologies, and environmental issues. We also offer scholarships to graduating high school students who plan to attend a university.

For 2020, AABE California Chapter is offering (5) $1,000 scholarship to high school seniors who meet the criteria. There are additional opportunities for the selected high school students to earn (1) $3,000 scholarship at the Western Region level and (1) $5,000 scholarship at National level.

  • Environmental Science
  • Agriculture
  • Conservation
  • Ecology
  • or a related field in college

The Kiwanis Club of Greater  San Bernardino scholarship applications are now available. You must have at least a 3.0 GPA to be considered. The application deadline is March 20, 2020.

MHHF Scholarships

The Making Hope Happen Foundation (MHHF) is offering scholarships for District 2020 graduates with at least a 2.0 GPA to attend the accredited college or university of their choice. Scholarships are $3,000 each and include a mentor to help them navigate the first two years of college. Applications can be found at

NATIONAL BLACK GRADS, IE HIGH SCHOOL BLACK GRADUATE RECOGNITION "IT TAKES A VILLAGE" SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

PURPOSE To provide scholarships to deserving African American graduating seniors in the Inland Empire who are pursuing a post-secondary course of study at either a college or university. AWARD COMPONENTS Multiple $500 scholarships and individual certificates awarded to students selected by the Inland Empire High School Black Graduation Scholarship Committee.
CRITERIA 1. Be an African American student living in the Inland Empire area (San Bernardino/Riverside Counties). 2. Be a 2020 graduating high school senior. 3. Demonstrate positive impact on and involvement in the community. 4. Demonstrate high academic achievement or significant improvement over time.
APPLICATION PROCESS Please submit the following items by the Friday February, 15th, 2020 deadline (POSTMARKS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED). 1. Completed application form via this Google form 2. Two letters of recommendation (e.g., from teachers/counselors, administrators, employers, or community leader) 3.
