Students also learn all of the CTE Standards for Career Readiness and chart their path for reaching their career goals.
Students experience the elements of music and performance (performance, evaluation, literacy, and aural skills), as well as the CTE standards that tie into the Arts, Media and Entertainment Music pathway (use of technology, career exploration, and guest speakers, collaboration with students and with career musicians, creation of a musical portfolio). Students will have access to CTE- based technology to help them with the creation of their portfolios and to help them develop and refine their individual and ensemble singing skills. Additionally, students in Concert Choir CTE will use music to study and explore various cultural backgrounds and origins and study the connection of music to various cultures, time periods, and political movements.
